ya.........scientific theory is that light bends in any medium!
so in our atmosphere the thickness of the various layers keeps altering, thus bending the light ray to different magnitudes!!!
whereas no atmosphere on the moon, u got it right!!

that's why no twinkling of stars seen from Moon!!
